Storyboard

Our shot list
Shot 1:
The first shot is going to be of a drum kit, this will be a close up and then zoom out or switch to another footage e.g the singer. This will be done to the beat of song because at the start of the song has quite a strong beat.
Shot 2:
Clapping is also used in the beginning of the song so we will also have close up of clapping, this will give the audience a visual to see, we will also be switching between the footage of different instruments.
Shot 3:
A shot of a guitar being played will also be shot and used. This will be our introduction to the song to introduce the band members and it will be an interesting way to begin to song. This will consist of close ups and mid shots mainly.
Shot 4:
When the lyrics start there will be a shot of the singer independently, then infront of the band in a mid shot.
Shot 5:
This is a shot of dancers in a 'Ipod advert style' with bright colours and upbeat dancing. We also have an idea of editing this shot so it makes it more interesting such as doubling the dancers and have different shots for example a close up.
Shot 6:
The whole group will be used in this section, edited in a split screen style and possibly edited with bright colours. This will be mainly used in the chorus.
Shot 7:
This shot was inspired by a student video created last year 'Turn it up' we will have a spotlight with changing colours and a mic with singers. The mic will be hung from the ceiling or on a mic stand.
Shot 8:
Inspired by the Miley Cyrus '7 things' video and the Madonna 'Give it 2 me' video, we will have the band and the singer in shot. However, the different performers will be at different scales so some performers are bigger than others.
Shot 9:
Keeping some elements of the original video, we will have a section of animated performance. This could consist of anything abstract and odd.
Shot 10:
Because the song is called 'Science is golden' we thought it would be fun to add an element of science into the song. Therefore, the band will dress up in lab coats and 'do tests' on a male. We will keep this upbeat by dancing and singing while we are doing this. Colourful test tubes will be used as props.
Shot 11:
This shot will be just of the band singing and dancing around. Close ups, mid shots and long shots will be used. Possibly still be in the lab costumes.
Shot 12:
Similar to the Ting Tings 'Great DJ' video, when we have a beat that goes well, we will repeat the singer over and over to create lots of them. Also members of the band will be repeated.
Shot 13:
We will use still images and edit them to make them look like Polaroids from all the scenes and one by one they will be animated to fall in to the shot and will pile on top of one another. This will be similar to a scrapbook of the band while filming, but to a beat.
Shot 14:
This shot will be still images of the band and singer in different positions and moved quickly in a slideshow style. This is similar to the Madonna 'Give it 2 me' video.
Shot 15:
The last shot will be of the male partipant in the science scene, will have duct tape on his mouth with the words 'Science is Golden'. We have chosen to do this because the title is a play on the saying 'silence is golden' we will zoom into the tape on his mouth then it will finish.

Costumes:
Bright clothing, high heels, Skinny jeans, shorts, bright tops, bright nails, bright make-up, lab coats, science goggles, glasses, big jewelry and big hair styles.
Throughout the video there will be lots of costume changes. The style we are also going to base our cotume design around is THE TING TINGS!!!
